Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Old Reliable - Bayliss 72'
by John Bayliss 5 Apr 2020 16:58 UTC
Old Reliable’s machine tunnel underwent quite the transformation over the last month. The machine tunnel is now completely in primer.
In late March, the forward fuel tank was installed, allowing our hull carpentry crew to complete the surrounding chases and prepare for the installation of the lower sole.
Before the month's end, the lower sole was installed, giving the forward section of the vessel a clean appearance.
Within the pump room, shelf fabrication is complete. In the engine room, the battery boxes and generator shelf have been fabricated and installed, and the walkway structure is now glassed. The salon deck is nearly complete.
Our mechanical crew has created drawings for the water systems and will soon move into the painted areas to begin chase layout and system installations.
