Bayliss Boatworks new construction updates
by Bayliss Boatworks 2 Sep 2023 19:38 UTC
This past month, we assembled the hull jig for our latest project:
Bayliss 64'
. Attention to detail is a key component of the culture at Bayliss Boatworks, and it is maintained throughout every stage of the build process.
Across 2.5 days, our CNC department meticulously cut the 401 parts that would make up the hull's jig. Organization was essential to ensure the jig assembly ran without error. The pieces were stacked in boxes based on the order they would be laid and were then transfered over to our hull shop. Our hull carpentry team pieced together the stations and had the jig standing to completion in a matter of hours.
The cabin for the 64' build began this past June, and our team will be working on installing the hull stringers next. Be on the lookout for more info on our latest build!

Below deck, our cabinetry department has taken in the mockups and are now fabricating and finishing cabinetry items.
