We hit some serious benchmarks on Blue View's appearance in April. The most dramatic was the installation of her teak toe rail. Work continues on the mezzanine, where the exterior carpentry crew is currently installing five custom stainless steel freezer boxes.
The paint crew has already primed the mezzanine and undersides of the coverboards. Within the next month, work will begin on the teak coverboards.
On the bridge, the raised deck is now in fairing and will soon be blanketed in primer. Our crew has already begun on the layout of the teak planks for the deck.
Stepping into the interior of Blue View, things are beginning to take shape. The interior carpentry crew has developed mock-ups of the galley and dinette, and will soon begin on the tackle room. The fabrication of everything from bunks to head vanities is under way in the cabinetry shop.
Our electrical department is beginning the main wire runs for all lighting and equipment. In the engine room, our mechanical crew has completed the installation of the holding tank and chiller units, and will begin plumbing the machine tunnel bilges and sumps, as well as the water maker layout over the course of the month.
