The entire flybridge on Tarheel (Bayliss 62') is now in final primer, including the console and benchseat lids. Her shiny new faux teak helm pod was installed in late February.
This month, her faux teak drip-molding will be sighted and installed- a defining feature of the cabin which will really bring the exterior appearance together.
Mechanically, our crew has been tackling air handlers and chiller line piping which are now installed and finalized. The machine tunnel is nearly complete, and both fuel tanks are hooked up. In the lower level areas, shower and sink plumbing is nearly complete. Much of the cabinetry in the lower level is installed including the stateroom bunks and dressers, as well as the dayhead vanity. In the cockpit area, the salon bulkhead has been installed, and mezzanine buildout continues. The tuna door has been cut and glassed as well.
Next on our crew's list is installation of chiller units, main engine exhaust, bow thruster motor and a Willy Vac® system for the engine room. On the interior, it won't be long before we begin to see the installation of head floors and various cabinetry in the tackle room and salon.
