Bayliss Boatworks new construction updates

by Bayliss Boatworks 3 May 2024 19:40 UTC

We are excited to debut the name of the latest 75 build at Bayliss Boatworks: Big Deal. She will be be welcomed into a well established fishing program, and after delivery will kick off her fishing expeditions along the East Coast and will eventually make the journey to Cabo and Costa Rica as well.
Last month on Big Deal, our exterior carpentry team glassed the bow deck, and worked on installing the toerail and cockpit AC. Our interior carpentry team has been busy putting mockups in place in the master stateroom. Next on the agenda, crews will install her structural cockpit decking and then the mezzanine buildout will begin.

Sequentis hit the water for the first-time last month! Earlier in April, our team piled on for her maiden sea trial. Testing and proving was a success, and she has moved back into the make ready bay to receive a few finishing touches on the exterior. The bridge table and helm chair were both installed, while installation of cabinetry below deck remains ongoing. Josh Everett will be completing her transom artwork and we are closing in on the delivery date!

Max Bet saw many improvements last month. Our exterior carpentry team has been busy in the cockpit, installing the teak bullnose in the mezzanine, cockpit decking, and teak coverboards. Awlfair has been applied to the bridge flooring up in the flybridge, and in the interior, the dayhead cabinetry is now installed. Max Bet will be making moves soon and will head over to our paint facility in the next few weeks for topcoat.

The crews working on Bayliss 64 had a productive month. With the forward fuel tank surround buildout complete, our mechanical team successfully installed the forward fuel tank. Meanwhile, our paint department continues sanding and priming the salon deck, and they recently finished painting the engine room. We are looking forward to Bayliss 64s engine installs scheduled for later this month!
