Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Bayliss 62' Seven

by Bayliss Boatworks 3 Dec 2020 14:22 UTC

In late November, Bayliss Boatworks delivered its most recent build to its owners, the 62-foot Seven; the first owners to enjoy two BBW christenings. She was a product of over 42,000 man-hours and nearly 19 months of labor; Seven is geared to fish efficiently as possible.

Seven's hull will not be mistaken for any other with its custom Imron exterior paint blend, "Cool Blue", paired with her red and blue boot stripes. She is complimented with a faux teak transom, salon door, toe rail and half round while the cockpit utilizes natural teak for the deck, coaming and coverboards. Her mezzanine area is comprised of custom tackle storage, two custom stainless steel freezer boxes, a refrigerated drink box, a large ice bin, and an outdoor grill.

Seven's flybridge is a custom Bayliss Boatworks portside peninsula layout with two Release Marine Trillion Series helm chairs. It offers a large freezer box forward of the console and additional starboard side custom rod storage; both double as bench seats accommodating family and crew. She is also equipped with a full tower supplied by Palm Beach Towers.

Seven is powered by twin MTU M96L 12V engines, each with 1,920 horsepower, with her top speed registered at over 46-knots at completion and fully loaded. This top end speed translates to a 41.5-knot cruise at 2150 rpm. Seven is also equipped with two 20kw Northern Lights generators, a Seakeeper 18 for stability, an FCI 1850 gallon per day water maker and the latest marine electronics installed by Custom Marine Electronics including a Furuno Black Box Omni sonar.

Among her interior features are a custom L-shaped sofa and sofa table in the salon. The galley features two SubZero refrigerators, a Wolf induction cooktop and Calcutta do Brazil granite countertops. The dinette adds additional seating with a U-shaped seat situated around a solid teak tabletop. Seven's interior utilizes natural teak for all cabinetry, galley and head floors, salon wall veneers and window moldings and the companionway ceiling. Mappa burl accents are also found throughout.

Her spacious lower level offers a tackle room, a day head, and two guest staterooms off the companionway before entering the forward master stateroom and master head. The tackle room was designed with custom rod and tackle storage, a SubZero freezer and a spacious natural teak countertop. Both the starboard and portside guest staterooms have stacked bunks with teak bases and the head features beautiful Azul Macaubas countertops. The master stateroom is appointed with two teak hanging lockers, two teak nightstands, a custom headboard and a Seura mirror television above a teak dresser.

This winter you will find Seven fishing off the coast of Florida and the Bahamas.
