DAIWA Deploys 2026 Flagship Collection

From the raw torque of the all-new RYOGA 150 to the deep-drop dominance of the Seaborg 500J—experience the next evolution of tactical angling at the Pacific Coast Sportfishing Show

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA (March 3, 2026) – As the 2026 season approaches, DAIWA USA announces a premier brand activation at this weekend’s Pacific Coast Sportfishing Show (OC Fair & Event Center). While the event serves as a hub for the Southern California angling community, the products debuting represent a nationwide escalation in technical tackle design.

“This show hits home for so many of us on the DAIWA staff with our offices just being down the road from our company headquarters,” said DAIWA’s Alex Plambeck, who heads up DAIWA’s sales efforts in the SoCal area. “We’re anxious to show off our special display on all the DAIWA power assist reels including the Tanacom 500 and new Seaborg 500J, new for RYOGA 100SV and 150 size round baitcasting reels, SALTIGA 10 and 10L jigging reels, and new Procyon inshore SW rods. Also on display with be DAIWA’s recently introduced LEXA 500, and SALTIGA and SALTIST conventional and jigging reels designed for area saltwater fishing situations.”

THE 2026 FLAGSHIP LINEUP: TACTICAL HIGHLIGHTS

DAIWA’s 2026 collection is defined by Power Meets Precision, featuring structural re-engineering across every category:

SALTIGA 30000P and DOG FIGHT RODS: Engineered for the "impossible" fight, the SALTIGA Dog Fight series utilizes V-JOINT ALPHA technology to tame cow tuna, while the 30000P spinning reel delivers unmatched winching power.

RYOGA 150: Moving beyond simple finesse, the RYOGA 150 utilizes MAGFORCE-Z BOOST for payloads 1/2-ounce and up. It is the definitive machine-cut answer for high-mass lures and violent, high-torque retrieves.

SEABORG 500J: A compact 500-size frame packing 166 lbs. of momentary winding power. Designed for in-hand deep-dropping, it bridges the gap between traditional feel and electric efficiency.

PROCYON INSHORE SW: Built with HVF Nanoplus graphite and X45 Bias Construction, these rods offer tour-grade accuracy and durability at a price point that challenges the entire inshore market.

EXCLUSIVE SHOW INCENTIVES

For those attending in person, DAIWA is offering significant hardware bonuses through exhibiting tackle partners: Proteus Series Rod Purchase: Receive a complimentary SALTIST (SLTST) rod ($149.99 value).
