Dangerous fishing conditions update © RFA of NSW
Fresh to strong northwesterly winds ahead of a cold front which will continue to bring a vigorous west to southwesterly change along the NSW coast Saturday night. Winds are expected to ease Sunday, as a ridge of high pressure develops over the region. Northwesterly winds will increase again from mid next week, ahead of the next cold front.
Where
Dangerous conditions are forecast on the Hunter, Sydney, Batemans and Eden coasts. Seas will be 4 to 6 metres and swell will be 3 to 5 metres...a mix of southerly, easterly, south easterly and south westerly. Dangerous conditions will also persist on Monday on the Eden coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology is warning that on these waters conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.

Swell period will be extremely short...as little as 4 seconds early Sunday, but 8 to 10 seconds later in the day.
