The 2022 Reel Masters event will take place between 30 September - 02 October in and around Weymouth, Dorset, UK.

Reel Masters is the only combined Saltwater Angling Show and Competition in the UK. With exhibitors from across the angling and marine industry sectors, Reel Masters offers a welcoming festival-feel with live music, delicious food, local vendors, and activities for all.

Held Friday through to Sunday at the Weymouth Pavilion, pier and beach, the event will attract fishing and boating fans from complete beginners to seasoned professionals. With an anticipated footfall of 6000+ saltwater and predator angling enthusiasts, Reel Masters offers angling competitions for all.

Introducing KAOTY 2022

Taking place throughout the year at a variety of locations around the UK, the KAOTY (Kayak Angler Of The Year) series of events is organised by Hobie UK Fishing Team member Dave Morris from Anglers Afloat. This year's Reel Masters hosts the third event of KAOTY 2022 and, importantly, the first saltwater tournament.

Branded Pro-boat Challenge

Visitors will be able to watch and meet with some of Europe's finest fishermen and women via the branded boat challenge for professional fishing teams. 'Introduction To Fishing' trips will be available for young or aspiring anglers, enhanced by talks from key industry spokespeople for the more experienced fishing community.

Reel Masters provides a fantastic family-friendly weekend event offering a dynamic experience for the whole family; a fishing festival with demonstrations, competitions, and charter boat fishing experiences for everyone interested in having a go!

SIB Get-Together

Those with their own Small Inflatable Boat (SIB) can join the SIB Get-Together on Saturday, heading off from Weymouth beach to join in the fishing activities, exhibitors, music, food and drink that Reel Masters has to offer

With the benefit of easy access to bountiful and challenging waters Weymouth is an ideal venue for Reel Masters. The busy historic harbour, complete with its own long-standing fishing community, is a great place to watch all the comings and goings; luxury yachts, fishing trawlers, tall ships, RNLI Lifeboats and even cross-harbour rowing ferries. The harbourside bars and bistros mean visitors are spoilt for choice for places to eat out, whether fresh seafood, good old fashioned pub grub or a simple meal made with local produce, it's all there.

"The event is dedicated to everyone who is passionate about saltwater and predator angling. Angling continues to be the world's largest and fastest growing sport and the saltwater contingent needs a great competition and Expo in the UK. With continued success of competitions in Europe and around the world, Reel Masters promises to be well attended by dedicated professional teams and industry suppliers as well as providing a great weekend destination for all levels of saltwater and predator anglers," comments Suzanne Coop, Managing Director, Reel Masters.

Reel Masters is produced in collaboration with Mercator Media - a long-established media company focusing on maritime and the sea. Mercator Media brings industry experience producing leading exhibitions including Seawork and Icelandic Fisheries, plus conferences such as Coastlink and more.

Andrew Webster, Chief Executive of Mercator said, "We have worked with the Reel Masters team previously on other events and know them as dedicated professionals. We are delighted with the opportunity to work with this vibrant community".
