Rods built to conquer - Meet the new Regiment Black Ops II range

Meet the new Regiment Black Ops II range © Penn Fishing

The new Regiment™ Black Ops II series brings a wider range of technique specific actions, improved tapers and a slick paintjob to PENN's renowned range of inshore lure fishing rods.

Ideal for soft baiting or jigging, these rods are built on PENN's SLS3 Construction graphite blank to deliver the sensitivity required for technical inshore angling along with serious pulling power.

Using proven Fuji® K guides with Alconite inserts, the guides on the Regiment Black Ops II range feature a tapered frame to decrease wind knots and braid wrap. Lightweight Fuji® graphite reel seats feature across the lineup to provide superior sensitivity and strength.

SLS3 construction uses inner and outer spiral wrap layers of carbon fibre to sandwich middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass. The spiral wraps maintain a round cross section in the blank when under load which helps the blank handle higher loads. The middle layers of unidirectional carbon and glass create the backbone of the rod by utlising the strength of glass combined with the light weight of the carbon fibre to deliver a strong, balanced and thin rod blank.

From RRP: $179.99
