Check your anchors says Transport Safety Victoria

While your boat is parked up for winter, it's a good time to check your anchors:

• Make sure all shackles are secured
• Check for rust on chain, shackles and cleats
• Ensure your rope isn't frayed or deteriorated
• Check the anchor is stored well, to avoid it bumping around and causing damage
• Make sure anchor cable is properly secured to a robust fixing on the boat
