Henri-Lloyd becomes the new official clothing partner for the Junior Offshore Group, JOG. The partnership will focus on four key areas - youth sailing, sustainable clothing, repairs and sponsorship of the JOG Lymington to Cowes race on Saturday 18th September 2021. This summer, Henri-Lloyd will also launch an official merchandise range for JOG members.
Keen to continue to support grass-roots sailing, Henri-Lloyd are donating 12 sets of Jackets and Salopettes to support JOG's recently launched youth programme, Generation JOG. Sailors, 25 years old and under, will have the opportunity to win this kit if they achieve certain milestones, for example, first time racing across the English Channel or first 100 miles racing.
There will be a major focus on sustainability with promotion of their new recycled 'HL BLU' gore-tex range and their online repair shop to JOG sailors, encouraging more responsible consumption and lengthening the life of existing kit.
Henri-Lloyd will also be sponsoring the JOG Cowes to Lymington race. This race is part of the packed Junior Offshore Group (JOG) 2021 programme and takes sailors from the JOG startline off Cowes, Isle Of Wight and finishing at the Lymington Yacht Club race box. Expected to attract around 40 boats ranging from 25ft to 40ft and including both double handed and fully crewed boats, this race remains a popular choice for JOG sailors. Winners of each class will receive a £300 spend voucher to give them freedom to choose their prize, ensuring best reward return for each sailor and no wastage of product.
Commenting on the importance of this clothing partnership, Dougie Leacy, Captain of JOG said, "We are really excited to welcome Henri-Lloyd on as our official clothing partner. Not only is Henri-Lloyd a distinguished and trusted brand to have onboard but most importantly they are 100% committed to helping us activate our youth sailing program."
Speaking of the partnership, Graham Allen, CEO of Henri-Lloyd said "We are so pleased to support the JOG members, the values of the organisation fit very well with our own and it is a pleasure to be working with like-minded people. We look forward to a long, fun and mutually rewarding relationship."
