Introducing the Mark II 2025 version of the popular and versatile UCB-81 Extreme M Green. The 81 Extreme-M is the most popular member of the FCL Labo GT family and the updated version carries on the same legacy. The firm tip and mid section is ideal for working poppers especially but can also work a range of stickbaits with amazing control. Being quite light in the hand, it can comfortably be fished all day long, but still has the power to land massive GTs in all environments. The responsive carbon and supportive middle section makes this rod one of the best when it comes to distance casting. If you are looking for a rod to toss a lure way back into a reef break, then this is perfect for the job!
The medium taper of this rod allows it load steadily from the tip all the way through to the forgrip, offering excellent power for firm hooksets and controlling big fish around the reef. The mid-stiffness of the rod is also ideal for shore based anglers, helping to steer large fish around during the critical last moments of the fight. The responsive tip makes it easy to control and work stickbaits up to 170g, while the mid section stiffens up to work large cup face poppers up to 150g.
This rod has been designed to target and battle with large GT's but it can also be used as an all rounder heavy popping/stickbait rod for tuna species, dogtooth, wahoo, mackerel and even for targeting XL reef species in tight country.
