This week at Fish Head, we have a new YouTube video featuring the FCL Labo UCB 73M Offshore Spinning Rod.

This rod has been a favourite with the Fish Head team for its versatile nature for heavier bay/inshore fishing, light offshore and as well as a ton of coral flats work. It has been a workhorse of our range for a while, so we figured it was about time we featured the rod in a video!

The UCB-73 M Offshore from FCL Labo is a light tackle casting rod for lures up to 70g and PE3-4 line. Built with an emphasis on casting distance and power, this light weight rod is capable of catching fish well above its class. The very crisp graphite gives the rod a distinct feel and provides great elasticity in the tip to work lures. Very light in the hand due to the feather weight Titanium Torzite guides making this rod a dream to use. The rod has a faster tip taper that blends into a medium action. When loaded it will bend through towards the butt section providing great comfort for the angler.

The UCB 73 M Offshore excels when casting shallow reef flats and wash zones for Trevally, Kingfish, Emperors, Trout as well as hunting pelagics like Longtail Tuna and Dolphin Fish. It is also fantastic for chasing snapper and mulloway with large soft plastics on offshore reefs. The UCB-73 M Offshore will also jig up to 120g and is an excellent rod for targeting tropical reef species.

The rod features a Fuji Titanium Torzite T-RVTG stripper guide, T-KWTG guides and a Titanium Sic tip guide.

Designed to balance Daiwa and Shimano SW reels in the 5000-6000 size range.
