A high pressure ridge extends across the coast, followed by a cold front crossing the south late Sunday through early Monday.
Where
For Sunday, BOM is warning of large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing from the Byron down to the Hunter coasts, with 1 to 2 metre seas and 2.5 to 4 metre southerly swells. Conditions especially dangerous on south-facing rock platforms.
Swell period
Swell period will be between 11 and 16 seconds.
