Dangerous fishing continues Friday after East Coast Low

Why
A low is brushing the southern half of the coast maintaining strong winds and large powerful surf on Friday. Winds and surf conditions are forecast to ease after Friday as the system moves further offshore and it is followed by a large high pressure ridge moving across the state.
Where
For Friday, BOM is warning of large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing from the Macquarie down to the Eden coasts, with 2.5 to 3 metre seas and 3 to 4 metre mixed southerly and easterly swells.
Swell period: Swell period will be between 10 and 12 seconds.
