Temporary fisheries closure offshore of Napier Port, to the take of all finfish, shellfish & seaweed

Ngati Parau Hapu Trust has requested a temporary closure offshore of Napier Port, Hawke's Bay, under section 186A of the Fisheries Act 1996. The requested closure would prohibit the take of all finfish, shellfish, and seaweed for 2 years.

Fisheries New Zealand invites written submissions from anyone who has an interest in the species concerned, or in the effects of fishing in the area.
