2024 has been another great year for the Sailing Chandlery RS200 Northern Tour. In total, 124 sailors from 23 sailing clubs ranging from Abersoch to East Lothian to Beaver took part in the tour which saw fantastic racing throughout the fleet.

Overall, Alistair and Helen Norris of Leigh & Lowton SC and Red Wharf Bay SC finished the season strongly and were crowned winners of the Sailing Chandlery RS200 Northern Tour 2024! Scots Brendan Lynch and Ellen Clark of East Lothian YC finished a close second ahead of last year's tour champs Chris and Evie Pickles in third.

The top three each received a generous voucher from sponsors Sailing Chandlery who will be supporting the tour again in 2025 much to the fleet's delight! Martin and Barbera Smith of Yorkshire Dales SC also took home a voucher as the boat who had travelled the furthest having travelled to five events.

On behalf of the northern 200s, I would like to extend our thanks to Andrew and his Sailing Chandlery team for their continued support for the 2024 season. I hope that we have been able to continue growing the presence of the business throughout the north and we look forward to working with you in 2025!

Looking forward to 2025, I will unfortunately be stepping down as Northern Rep as I will be heading down south to sail round the back of the southern fleet. If you are interested in taking over as northern rep, pleased touch base with me to discuss.

However, there is much to be excited about! The tour will be heading to the northeast for the first time in a number of years as we head to Tynemouth for a joint event with the Scottish Tour. The National Championships will also be held up north in Abersoch (we claim North Wales as our own) from the 4th to the 8th August 2025. Get the dates in your diary - we look forward to seeing you there!
