The expert team at Contest Yachts UK is inviting visitors to the Southampton International Boat Show to step onboard the Contest 49CS and turn their bluewater cruising dreams into a reality.

Designed for short-handed high-performance cruising, the stunning semi-custom 15-metre Contest 49CS will be available to view throughout the show (13-22 September) on marina berth M647.

"It's luxury performance cruising at its best," says Ashley Overton, Contest Yachts UK's Sales Manager.

"Ideal for family cruising, everything onboard the Contest 49CS has been thoughtfully designed to offer a safer, more comfortable on-water sailing experience, from the stepped aft cockpit and forward steering positions to the spacious, more equally sized cabins below decks.

"It needs to be experienced to be believed which is why we're inviting anyone interesting in bluewater cruising, without wishing to compromise on style or performance, to book an appointment to step onboard."

Displaying incredible onboard space, both above and below deck, the Contest 49CS creates a secure environment for all onboard. In addition to the helm being moved further away from the transom guard rails, as with all yachts from this renowned Dutch yacht builder, there's also a forward leisure cockpit to enable those not involved in the sailing to keep clear of all the action.

For easy and optimised off-wind sailing, the integral carbon fibre A-frame at the bow incorporates a hydraulic furler, while a tender garage keeps the decks uncluttered without the need for davits, and keeps the weight lower down for increased stability, safety and style.

Innovative design, styling and outfitting continues in the semi-customisable interior, with the wider waterline beam and taller topsides aft boosting internal volume. The amplified onboard space offers a variety of layout options, including doubles as well as twin berths in the aft cabins, and a two-sided longitudinal corridor galley - something rarely seen onboard a yacht with an aft cockpit.

In essence, the Contest 49CS is the pinnacle of bluewater sailing yachts, creating the perfect balance between onboard comfort, ease of sailing and performance.
