The iQFOiL fleets hit the water early for day four in pursuit of the event's only marathon race. After a dynamic upwind rabbit start, both Last Chance and Qualified Nations fleets set out for the hour-long race in 13 knots of breeze.

Though fleet leader and US Sailing Team athlete Noah Lyons took 16th in the marathon race, his consistent racing all event - with wins in all but one race - meant that the marathon's double-counted 16th finish went straight to his three allotted drop scores. After a break, the fleet sailed two traditional upwind course races, with Noah finishing his penultimate day of competition with a race withdraw that counted as his third drop and a 2nd place to round out the day. Never leaving 1st overall this week, Lyons will advance straight to tomorrow's finals and is therefore guaranteed a medal at the Last Chance Regatta, officially securing his ticket to the Paris Olympics with one day of racing to spare.

Markus Edegran, USST and Paris 2024 selected Men's Kite athlete, ended his qualifying series racing in fifth overall. He will sail in tomorrow's semifinals, where he will need two race wins to advance to finals. To lock in his spot in Marseille this summer, Edegran will need to finish as the 5th or higher country ranking overall.

In the ILCA 7 fleet, USST's Ford McCann ended his day with a third-place finish, putting him in ninth overall with one more day of racing before the top ten advance to Friday's medal race. Ford's brother Marshall is following by two places in 11th, and USA's Leo Boucher sits in 19th. For Ford to secure a ticket to Paris, any American must finish as a top three country ranking at the end of Friday's racing.

In the Qualified Nations division, standout performances include USST athlete Charlotte Roses's 1st and 2nd place finishes, launching her up the scoreboard ten places to 4th overall. USST 49er team Andrew Mollerus and Ian MacDiarmid moved up to 5th overall from 7th and have their sights set on Saturday's medal race. Finally, Paris 2024 Nominees and USST athletes Stu McNay OLY and Lara Dallman-Weiss OLY moved into 9th overall from 14th with two fourth place finishes. McNay and Dallman-Weiss are also eyeing qualification for the Mixed 470 medal race on Saturday with a top ten finish or higher at the end of Friday's racing.
