The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to strengthening the Coast Guard community and service by supporting members and families, announced today that it has kicked off its 2024 scholarship season.
Children of Coast Guard members will be able to apply from February 1 to April 1 for awards ranging from $2,500 to $5,000. Scholarships are available to college-age children of Coast Guard members who are active duty, active-duty reserve and retired.
All interested high school seniors and college-age children of Coast Guard members should check eligibility requirements and application instructions at coastguardfoundation.org/apply.
The program is now in its fourth decade, with more than $7.5 million awarded in scholarships to deserving students, who go on to strengthen their Coast Guard families by pursuing a higher education through college or technical school.
"With college getting more expensive year after year, it's always a matter of great priority for us to be able to provide support to the children and families of Coast Guard service members," said Susan Ludwig, president of the Coast Guard Foundation. "We're so proud to be able to support these impressive young people as they work toward a brighter future. In 2024, we look forward to rewarding more young scholars for their hard work."
