At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Yellowfin Yachts announced new features on the 36 Offshore, a model that has long led the industry in its class and one of the manufacturer's most popular products.

To date, it remains of the most well-represented boats in Yellowfin's extensive lineup, with a strong presence throughout coastal communities and competitive saltwater tournament circuits.

"We're incredibly excited to introduce these new features on one of our most iconic models. The 36 Offshore is a staple in offshore fisheries around the country and beyond, and these new features are designed to enhance the vessel's overall comfort while still providing its sought-after fishability and performance," said Heath Daughtry, VP of Sales at Yellowfin

New features

Among the different updates included on this model, the most notable is the extended console that features a forward lounger. This new feature inherently adds more comfortable seating to the platform, either on its own or paired with traditional forward seating.

However, comfort is not the only added benefit of this new feature, as it also adds additional insulated storage space beneath the lounger, as well as an opportunity to add more rod holders alongside the lounger. Furthermore, this added insulated cooler space is a complement to the same in-floor fish box, located just ahead of the extended console, that Yellowfin 36 Offshore owners are accustomed to.

Along with the extended console and lounger, new updates to the 36 Offshore include a new-look transom with the removal of the transom door and a redesigned transom livewell setup. Additionally, the bilge access hatch now opens aft instead of forward, and handrails were added to both sides of the leaning post.

Near the helm, the midship gutter was removed and replaced with a pass-through drain that goes forward to aft. At the helm, all exposed hardware was removed, and an all-new extrusion with a solid windshield was added. Finally, the helm seating features new designs and upholstery, including a new headrest.
