Why
A cold front will shift across the state Monday, bringing a southerly change up the coast. Following this, a high pressure system is forecast to drift across southeast Australia during the middle of the week, with winds moderating.
Where
On Thursday from Byron down to Batemans coasts, seas will be 3 to 5 metres and swell will be 4 metres. Swell will be southerly with some additional northerly and north-easterly swells on Byron and Coffs coasts
Swell period
The time between swells will be around 10 seconds. (Swell period will drop to around 6 seconds for a few hours on Monday night!)
Warning
BOM is warning that conditions will be dangerous for rock fishing and crossing bars.
