Dangerous fishing conditions update © RFA of NSW
Why
North to northwesterly winds continue Friday as a high moves eastwards across the Tasman Sea followed by a cold front with strengthening westerly winds, then shifting southwesterly from the south by Saturday, easing by Sunday. Another high will arrive Sunday, with fresh northerly winds next week.
Where
On Saturday on the Hunter, Sydney and Illawarra coasts, there will be 2.5 to 3 metre seas and 4 metre southerly/south-westerly swells.
Swell period
The time between swells will be fairly short - around 10 to 11 seconds.
Warning
On those coasts on Saturday BOM is warning that conditions will be dangerous for rock fishing and crossing bars.
