Outdoor technologies leader Scanstrut begins shipping its highly anticipated new ultra-fast USB charger, Flip Pro.

Flip Pro is an ultra-fast dual USB charger, featuring a Type-A and Type-C socket. It solves the problem that many boat builders face of corrosion with the current standard USB offering found on every boat. When not in use, the spring-loaded cap remains tightly closed, protecting the ports from the elements.

When charging, it quickly locks open to protect your cables when plugged in. It will charge at up 36W on a 12V system or up to 60W on a 24V system, this makes it perfect for charging modern laptops via the USB-C port. It's also 2x faster for charging large tablets and is designed to effortlessly charge both an iPad Pro & iPhone at the same time. Featuring a super-compact footprint, Flip Pro is constructed from premium, marine-grade materials. and is IPX4 waterproof, making it completely washdown-ready.

The new charger has already picked up Boating Industry's 2022 Top Product Award and has already been selected by OEMs globally for their 22/23 model years as a standard fit piece of technology.

Like all Scanstrut's products, Flip Pro has been subjected to the harshest environmental, vibration, impact and on-water testing programs. This is combined with their world-renowned expertise in waterproofing technologies, UV stabilization techniques and premium-grade materials, ensuring this USB product is the best and only choice for the modern boat builder and owner.

Scanstrut CEO, Tom Reed said "As the new standard for wired power, USB-C is in high demand on-board. Flip Pro is a fantastic and timely innovation that provides outdoor-ready USB-C charging for power-hungry marine and RV applications."
