Roaming throughout all the world's oceans, whales are the largest animals on Earth. As marine mammals, whales are also warm-blooded and must regularly surface to breathe air.

These majestic creatures are very social and use a variety of noises to communicate with each other. Through our KELP marine-science activities, kids can discover the answers to how whales have adapted to living in the ocean.

Check out our complete KELP library of 50+ free, downloadable marine-science activites that encourage kids to explore their surroundings. Activities are available on a variety of topics on ocean health issues, including plastic pollution, overfishing and climate change.
