Golden Four-Post Lift eliminates hull scrubbing

by Martin Flory Group 15 Sep 2020 15:37 UTC

Cleaning a dirty hull typically means backbreaking toil or repeatedly paying someone to do the work. But it has to be done. Without it, excessive marine growth can cause decreased speed and increased fuel consumption. The solution is to keep the boat out of the water with a Golden Four-Post Lift.

The Golden Four-Post Lift is customized to fit a specific boat. Whether inboard, outboard or sterndrive powerboat; single or twin keel sailboat or PWC, the lift cradles the vessel to ensure no undue stress is put on the hull that could deform it. Even catamarans can benefit from out-of-water storage. The lift can be built to accommodate up to 25,400kg. For yachts up to 108,800kg, the company offers an Eight-Post version.

CE approved and built to ISO 9001:2015 standards, the Golden Four-Post Lift uses only welded 6061 T6 marine-grade aluminum and 300-series stainless steel hardware and cable. This ensures a long service life, no matter the environmental extremes of the location.

The heart of the Golden Four-Post Boat Lift is its drive unit. The company's state-of-the-art Sea-Drive® features double reduction worm gears with an efficient 580:1 ratio, so there's no slipping belts or broken chains. It's so reliable, in over 75,000 manufactured, not one has ever failed.

Using the Golden Four-Post Boat Lift is simple. The boat is driven onto the carpeted wood or available aluminum bunks, guided by the heavy-duty adjustable guide post bumpers. With the touch of a button, the Sea-Drive lifts the boat out of the water where it'll never sink from excessive rain and bilge pump failure.

As its name suggests, the rugged Four-Post Lift needs four piles. For locations where this is prohibited or not possible, Golden offers a wide range of lifts, both installed and free-standing.
