The Marinas19 International Conference and Trade Exhibition 27-28 May 2019 program has been finalised. Marina Industries Association (MIA) Chairman Andrew Chapman was on the Gold Coast this week checking that all was is in order for what he believes will be a record event in terms of delegate numbers and participant satisfaction.

Andrew said "the Marinas19 venue at Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast with its on-site accommodation is close to all the Gold Coast attractions and we are set for an excellent event."

The 33 conference sessions including plenary, workshop and practical demonstrations have been finalised. One, two and three streams will provide delegates with a wide choice of topics including: marina design, marinas and the connectivity of things, oil spill response demonstration, superyacht readiness, dredging, electric boats, improving boat-yard performance, marinas of the future, new markets, marine pests and managing waterways.

The complete program may be viewed on the Marinas19 website.

Andrew Chapman said the key ingredients are now in place. "Marinas19 follows immediately after the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. We anticipate many coming to Marinas19 will add value to their trip by also attending the Show. As well as the international quality Marinas19 conference program, the Trade Exhibition brings together under one roof all the key vendors that marina and boat yard operators need to deal with."

This year the Tuesday night Marinas19 Awards dinner will have a special focus on supporting the Marine Industry Foundation. The Foundation raises money to assist less able people to access boating and to support young people to develop a career in recreational boating.

The Marinas19 Field Trip on Wednesday 29th May includes a dredging site inspection and behind the scenes insights into three marinas including Gold Coasts two largest boatyards Boat Works and Gold Coast City Marina. "I believe that the Field Trip will be very popular particularly as both boatyards recently announced $100m plus expansion plans" said Andrew.
