  • Deano has been having a fat time on the flats, catching queenies, goldies, and blues such as this one

  • Joe's Irukandji Mega Prawn was too tempting for this barra caught from the same creek as the jack above
  • Snapper are abundant east of the Wide Bay Bar and Double Island Point Fishing Charters have been into them
  • Coral trout are on the chew big time inshore this time of year. You can try the shallows, but finding a deeper reef devoid of sharks is better (if you can)
  • Goldies are quite prolific throughout the bay, and are also found up on the flats again these days
