The Snipe European Championship 2025 officially got under way today in Vilamoura, where the fleet completed two solid races under excellent sailing conditions.
The opening race was sailed in steady winds of 10-11 knots from the northwest, offering the sailors a fair and balanced contest to start the championship. The second race took place in slightly shiftier breeze, but after several starting attempts, the fleet was able to enjoy another good contest on the waters of Vilamoura.
With sailors from across Europe — ranging in age from 14 to 71 years old — the championship highlights the diversity and inclusive spirit of the Snipe Class, bringing generations together around a shared passion for sailing.
