The WingFoil Racing World Cup China has reached its thrilling penultimate day, and the competition is heating up! The top men gathered in the gold fleet, ready to battle it out for a spot in the grand final.

The stakes were high, and the tension was palpable. Mathis Ghio from France was candid about the pressure: "The racing here in Gold fleet will be super tight... anything is possible and there's lots of pressure on the leaders. So, I must go full on." And go full on he did, winning the first race of the day with precision and skill.

But Kamil Manowiecki from Poland wasn't about to let him have all the fun, and he stormed back with a win in the second race, showcasing his exceptional wingfoiling abilities.

Just as things were getting intense, the current picked up and the wind dropped, forcing the fleet back to shore. The sailors were left waiting anxiously for the conditions to improve, wondering if they'd be able to get the day's racing program back on track.

But the show must go on! The top men managed to squeeze in three more races in the afternoon, with Alessandro Tomasi winning one and Manowiecki taking the other two.

In the end, Manowiecki and Ghio booked their tickets to the grand final, carrying forward two wins and one win respectively.

Manowiecki was relieved to have made it through the day, saying, "We had a super tight day... the main aim was to be consistent, which I achieved. I'm looking forward to the grand final, where I need to win one race to take the competition in China."

But the drama isn't over yet! The rest of the top-9 men will have to go through the medal series to earn their place in the grand finals, and there's still one more spot available through the Golden Ticket race. That means literally everyone has a shot at the podium, and the competition is far from over.

In the women's fleet, Maddalena Spanu from Italy and Karolina Kluszczynska advanced to the medal series, carrying forward two wins and one win respectively.

Spanu dominated the morning races with her superior speed, while Kluszczynska commented on her own performance, "I made a lot of mistakes in race 2... I'm really hoping for more wind in the second session today."

Unfortunately, the second session didn't materialize, but both sailors are through to the grand final.

Emilia Kosti from Greece and Vaina Picot from France also put in impressive performances, but will have to go through the semi-finals to claim a podium finish.

The competition is fierce, and every sailor is giving it their all in pursuit of the top spot. The final showdown will be on Super Sunday, and the tension is building. Who will emerge victorious? Will it be Manowiecki, Ghio, or someone else entirely?
