The Minister for Outdoor Recreation Steve Dimopoulos recently announced six major ramp upgrades that will be funded via the Better Boating Fund.
At Werribee South boat ramp, an extra ramp lane and accessible pontoon will be added while the carpark and entry points will be reconfigured to improve traffic flow and create additional parking spaces.
In addition to the upgrades at Werribee, other major facility upgrades include Geelong's Limeburners Point, Schnapper Point at Mornington, Tooradin and Port Welshpool.
A new ramp will also be built at Lake Eildon's Howqua Inlet, featuring a concrete ramp and asphalt parking area. The new ramp will provide another option for those launching on the eastern side of the lake.
