The countdown has begun for Europe's longest running superyacht regatta, with a new-look Superyacht Cup Palma 2025 all set for a spectacular 29th edition from 25-28 June.

With under a month to go, new entries and a new home base location at the prestigious Club de Mar-Mallorca in the heart of Palma have introduced a fresh spark to the already iconic festival of sail.

The relocation to SYC's new Venue Partner will see the fleet gathered together and moored stern-to at the newly refurbished marina, immediately adjacent to the vibrant Race Village which is at the heart of the regatta's valued social scene.

Out on the Bay of Palma racecourse this year's edition will see a quartet of the increasingly high-profile Baltic 68 Café Racers, the creation of Mallorcan designer Javier Juadenes, in action. The 20.7m stablemates Ganesha, Hormar, Open Season and Pink Gin Verde will bring their own brand of added competitive spirit.

"The Superyacht Cup Palma has always provided great racing and we are delighted that we will have four Café Racers out there — it should be quite a spectacle," said Henry Hawkins, Executive Vice President at Baltic Yachts, Friend of the Superyacht Cup.

Equally impressive on the water, a trio of Hoek Designs will also be making their presence felt with both the 42m Vijonara and 38.7m Atalante making a welcome return to SYC after racing last year, now joined by the 39m Linnea Aurora.

Also returning to the friendly fray is SYC champion Rose, with the 24m Wally out to make it three in a row after successfully defending her title in 2024.

"The last two years have of course been a great success for Rose's owner and the whole crew, but we have no illusions at all about the level of competition we will face," said captain Ben Potter. "We will give it our best shot again and see if we can earn another great result out on the water!"

To achieve what would be an SYC first of three successive title victories, Rose will have to overcome what is sure to be determined challenges from her fellow Farr design Gelliceaux, the 35m sloop making her debut in Palma, the 39m Tripp design Cervo, and 24m Y Yacht Sveam.

While looking ahead to setting up at the Club de Mar-Mallorca venue, SYC Event Director Kate Branagh welcomed the ongoing race management of the Real Club Náutico de Palma, and the long-standing support of Preferred Hotel Partner St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca, and Silver Partners Marinepool, North Sails, Pantaenius, Pendennis, Pinmar Yacht Supply, RSB Rigging Solutions and Vitters Shipyard.

Following registration, the Captain's Briefing and the Welcome Cocktail party get under way on the SYC Dock on Wednesday 25 June, while racing begins on the Bay of Palma at 13:00 on Thursday 26 June.
