Thanks to the efforts of the German Class Association, the Musto Skiff International Class has confirmed that a 'European Championship' will be hosted this July as part of Warnemünder Woche. The Musto Skiff class is scheduled to race from 10-13 July, and event registration is now open.

The Warnemünde Woche summer sailing festival will be at Rostock-Warnemünde and attracts sailors and visitors from all over the world. The full event, which takes place over 5 - 13 July, will include World, European, and German championships across a range of classes, as well as various ranking and sea regattas. There will also be concerts in the Kurhausgarten for the whole family to enjoy.

International Class Chairman, Brennan Robinson, said: "Only some of the Musto Skiff sailors managed to make the long trip from Europe to Australia for the 2025 Worlds in January, so this European Championship will be a great opportunity for more of the fleet to come together for some competitive racing in Germany. It's sure to be a fantastic regatta, and we are looking forward to the Europeans being a recurring championship on our long-term regatta calendar."

Entry fees for the Musto Skiff class are currently set at EUR 180, with 16 races planned across the four-day event. Sailors can enter with either the standard Musto Skiff mainsail or the smaller sized 'mainsail X'. Further instructions for using the smaller mainsail X at organised regattas will be included in the sailing instructions.

The class requires a minimum of 20 entries for a viable regatta, so the class is being encouraged to get their entries in early. There are currently 9 entries listed with representation from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Armenia. Several sailors from the UK fleet have expressed a firm intent to compete in the championship, and more entries are anticipated in the coming weeks.

How to enter
