Northampton Sailing Club host the P&B Phantom two day open, GJW Direct Super Series event and training day over the weekend of 26th/27th April with training taking place on Friday 25th.

Entries are now open on the club website which includes NOR and SI's. Please also book onto the training day via the up coming events, which is totally free for Phantom Class Association members or £20 for non members (or just join the class association!).

The 600 acre Pitsford reservoir nestling in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside is a fantastic location for a weekend away and for anyone wishing to extend their stay, visitors are welcome to arrive on Thursday and take part in the evening club racing.

Training on the Friday will consist of onshore boat tuning and set up, rig adjustment tips and Q&A followed by on the water sprint racing, starting practice and interactive on the water coaching. A full debrief session will review video footage of practice races. The coaches this year will be two experienced Phantomer's - 'Magic' Mike Webster and 'Yachting Cod' Chris Roberts. So if you want to get the most out of your Phantom and improve your sailing technique don't miss out on this opportunity of a customised coaching session.

The competition end of the weekend is made up of a six race event and will be the second midlands series event of the year combined with the second GJW Direct Super Series event. Proudly supported and sponsored by Pinnell & Bax www.pinbax.com and GJW Direct www.gjwdirect.com.

Sure to attract sailors from near and far, the racing will be close, competitive but friendly with it. The legendary NSC catering, bar and social will be available from Thursday night through to Sunday afternoon with camping on site throughout the weekend, all bookable on the website.

To top off the weekend we have a special treat with world sailing super star Dylan Fletcher MBE (ex Northampton SC youth sailor, 49er Olympic Gold medallist, America's Cup helm, and Sailing GP helm extraordinaire) honouring us with his presence on Sunday afternoon!

He'll be talking about his recent sailing campaigns and taking questions from the audience. You might even get chance to try on his Olympic Gold Medal!

Don't miss out on an action packed weekend of training, racing and meeting our very own sailing legend!

We look forward to welcoming you to Northampton Sailing Club again in 2025.
