Pegasus 67 is an owner-driven, shorthanded, easy-to-handle blue water cruiser. By internal hull volume, she is a typical 60-foot volume sailing boat. But big enough to accommodate a longitudinally placed 3.5 m dinghy garage and hydraulic gangway.
Performance shorthanded sailing and easy manoeuvring are possible due to low loads, reduced sail area, and light displacement.
Interior
The Pegasus 67 has a seamless transition between the cockpit and the saloon through sliding glass doors. Saloon with the gimbaled settee and windows with a full 360 degrees view delivers a pleasant, unique, light-filled living space.
Different layout options offer different cabin and head options in various combinations. The internal navigation station, with all the navigation and communication equipment, horizon view, and view of the sails, accommodates two crew members and allows full control from inside the boat in inclement weather to remain comfortable, safe, and dry in harsh conditions.
Sailing
All controls are led back to the steering position with four electric winches. The main sail is slab reefed with solutions from solo ocean racing boats. The main sheet is on the mainsheet arch, and all heavily loaded lines are far from the central cockpit area. Furling downwind sails can remain hoisted even when furled, up to 30 knots, which helps create a more relaxed boat environment.
The deck design integrates windshield and composite cockpit roof for permanent cockpit protection. The windshield central part and cockpit roof open to bring fresh air and provide a view of the sails and the night sky. The foldable side cockpit covers protect the cockpit from three sides and shelter the crew from low sun or rain, even while sailing.
