The sailing community is buzzing with excitement as we announce the inaugural Etchells Corinthian Cup, a brand-new regatta that will take place on the stunning waters of Moreton Bay, the same course used for the successful 2018 Etchells World Championships. Designed to celebrate the spirit of competitive sailing, this event promises to attract Etchells sailors from across the region and beyond. Hosted by the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron in conjunction with Brisbane Etchells.

Scheduled for 25 - 28 April 2025, the Etchells Corinthian Cup will showcase the exceptional skills and sportsmanship of participating teams, while promoting camaraderie and a love for the sport. With the picturesque backdrop of Moreton Bay, known for its favourable sailing conditions, this regatta is set to become a highlight of the sailing calendar.

The regatta entry is set to encourage interstate competitors and provide social activities, including pontoon drinks on Saturday, a Long Lunch on Sunday afternoon and welcome and presentation functions.

"We are thrilled to introduce the Etchells Corinthian Cup to the sailing community," said David Irvine, Regatta Co-ordinator. "This regatta not only aims to provide a competitive platform for sailors but also to foster a sense of community among participants and their families. We believe that the Corinthian spirit, which emphasizes integrity and fair play, will enhance the overall experience for everyone involved."

The Etchells class is well-regarded for its challenging yet accessible racing format, making it an ideal choice for both seasoned sailors and newcomers alike. This event will feature a series of competitive races, culminating in an awards ceremony to honour the top performers. Participants can expect a weekend filled with thrilling competition, networking opportunities, and the chance to connect with fellow sailing enthusiasts.

Sailors interested in participating in the Etchells Brisbane Corinthian Cup can register online at Etchells Corinthian Cup 2025 - RQYS (www.rqys.com.au/ecc25).

Join us in making sailing history at the Etchells Brisbane Corinthian Cup and witness the remarkable talents of the sailing community on the beautiful Moreton Bay.
