Entries are now open for the East Anglian Offshore Racing Association's four-day Offshore Regatta. On Thursday June 26 two fleets will race from Harwich to Ostend. The RORC East Coast Race is a Fastnet qualifier or there is a shorter more direct alternative. All the yachts will enjoy time ashore with lay day in Ostend on the Friday.

EAORA and the Royal North Sea Yacht Club are arranging friendly racing for teams of three yachts from the UK and Belgium early on the Friday evening, followed by a prize-giving and barbeque on the yacht club balcony.

On Saturday June 28 there is the Medway YC's Cannon Ball race to Ramsgate and on the Sunday Haven Ports YC's Walker Challenge Cup race, the final leg of the regatta, takes the boats back to Harwich and the regatta prize-giving at HPYC.

This year RORC has adopted GPS trackers and family and friends will be able to follow all the entrants throughout the four-day regatta via Yellowbrick.

Enthusiasm is already building and entries so far include a Carkeek 52, Mills 37, Swan 46, A40, a couple of J's, two Sparkman & Steven's classics, Arcona 400, Sigmas 33 and 38, Club Swan, Grand Soleil, Dehler 34, First 31.7 & 40.7 and Farr X2. It promises to be a great event.
