The RYA Female Scorpion Project is a unique opportunity to learn how to tune racing dinghies, not just what settings to use. It will give you a real understanding, transferable to other boats and classes, so you know how to get that vital few metres ahead up the first beat, consistently, in all conditions in any dinghy.

This method of coaching was proven in 2024 with Joe Warwicker but is based on generations old knowledge from the 1970s & 1980s which is rarely taught today.

You can find out what this is all about by applying and being invited to turn up for the trials in Weymouth on 20-21st April.

You get to sail a Scorpion and find out what it's like, have a good time sailing other dinghies, meeting and racing against new people and learning how this project works.

That way, if you are offered a place on the project you will have a really good idea of what to expect, how much fun you will have and how much you will learn.

You need to email with your contact details by Friday 21st March.

You will be added to a Project WhatsApp group and asked for some more information. It's that easy!

So - if you are female, a keen sailboat racer, want to learn lots more about boat speed and spend several weeks training before travelling to Penzance to sail the Scorpion Nationals - then this could be for you.

Age is no barrier, get in touch now!
