In January boot Düsseldorf sent a strong signal for the coming season. The world's biggest trade fair for all segments of watersports unambiguously proved itself as the sales platform for international manufacturers and dealers, confirmed by the spokespeople of exhibiting sectors in the wake of the event.

Commenting on this boot Director Petros Michelidakis said: "The industry's unambiguous vote in favour of boot Düsseldorf shows we are on the right track for the future with our marketing strategies."

On 6 March, BIA invites marine industry professionals to an inspiring waterfront event in Sydney and the Gold Coast. Enjoy drinks, canapés, and valuable networking with like-minded colleagues. You will hear from keynote speakers Dr Suzy Green and Jo Porter from The Positivity Institute. Their session, "You've Got This: Navigating Your Future with Confidence", will provide practical tools.

Marine Structures and Jetty & Marine Constructions (JMC) unveil their new joint venture, announcing a joint effort to manufacture high-quality concrete and aluminium pontoons in Western Australia. This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing local manufacturing capabilities and delivering world-class marine products to meet growing regional demand. By combining Marine Structures' cutting-edge design and manufacturing techniques with JMC's marine construction capabilities, the joint venture will bring a proven range of commercial pontoon systems.

Marine industries have made great strides in protecting and enhancing marine ecosystems through programs like the MIA's Clean Marinas, Fish Friendly Marinas, and the Elimination of Single Use Plastics Pledge. The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is providing a further solution for the industry to continue its important leadership role in announcing the Marine Sustainability Pledge (MSP). This new pledge focuses on broader sustainability challenges, including renewal energy & carbon emissions, water & air pollution, resource efficiency, and habitat protection and restoration.

Starting the year with a strong line-up of bookings for haul outs and refits, The Boat Works is propelling into the year. The dedicated superyacht North Yard has welcomed the facility's sixth lift, focusing on taking efficiency and service to the next level. The new, efficient, variable-width Marine Travelift with four-wheel steering and a beam capacity up to 9.65m, will lift vessels up to 100-tonnes, including wide-beam multihulls.

Seawind Catamarans has taken a significant step in its global expansion with the establishment of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Izmir, Türkiye. This new investment is not only a major step forward for Seawind's plans to target the European market but also a fresh breath for the marine industry in the country, as the first serial production multihull manufacturer in Türkiye. The factory, purpose-built for manufacturing catamarans up to 42 feet, is managed by Seawind Europe's managing partner, Kivanc Kardes, an industrial engineer with 25 years of manufacturing experience in the automotive industry.
