We love a good news story to kick off the year and this one doesn't disappoint! Young Archie from Atherton Tablelands landed the ultimate Christmas pressie - catching his first-ever barra to win a cool $1,000.
Archie and his father Matt were trying their luck at Lake Tinaroo when Archie felt something rather significant heaving on the end of his line. Sure enough, that heave was a tagged barra - measuring approximately one metre.
With the coveted green tag glistening, Archie joined the Fish 'n SIP$ winners making him the ninth victor in this exciting round.
There only a few more days to score a winning fish - jump in and join the challenge.
