TUDelft School for Industrial Design Engineering senior lecturer, Arjen Jansen, presented the globally recognised DAME Design Award to the TeamO Offshore 150N Hi-Lift Lifejacket & Harness in front of a large audience of leading marine professionals at the METSTRADE Breakfast Briefing this week in Amsterdam.

The Jury also identified eight category winners, nine Special Mentions and named two Environmental DAME Design Awards winners.

Raymarine is proud to announce its RSW Smart Wind Transducer won the 'Navigation and Communication' category of the Awards. The RSW Smart Wind Transducer is a wired NMEA 2000 compatible masthead sensor that brings professional-level wind data to recreational sailors. Combining a precision calibrated wind vane and anemometer along with solid-state gyro, accelerometer, and magnetometer sensors, the RSW Smart Wind Transducer provides fast, ultra-precise True Wind data for sailing.

The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) are pleased to announce the international release of the 2025 Australian Marine Industry Directory at METSTRADE.

The sailing segment of our industry will be buoyed by news from a famous event in Victoria. The 2025 Festival of Sails is set for a record-breaking turnout, with more than double the regatta entries compared to this time last year. This exceptional early interest includes legendary yachts such as Scarlet Runner, Ikon, Extasea, and Team Hollywood who have confirmed their return, ensuring some thrilling action on Corio Bay.

Freedom Boat Club, the world's largest boat club operator and a business within Brunswick Corporation, announced its expansion to New Zealand, launching with three locations across the country. The launch locations will be in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. Each location will highlight the synergies of the Brunswick portfolio featuring a fleet of Sea Ray and Rayglass Boats, powered by Mercury Marine engines and outfitted with Navico Group electronics.

Electric propulsion continues to expand. Australia's first electric boat, the Genevo E8, is close to commencing construction, riding the global wave of confidence and investment in electric propulsion. Entering the fast-growing global electric boat market, valued at US $7.6B with a 13 percent CAGR, the Australian-designed electric motor yacht has reached the next milestone in its development, moving into the Equity Crowd Funding phase. "The design is finalised, material selection and supply agreements are in place, and we are ready to start building in early 2025," reported co-founder and director, Damon Rahmate.
