Following Election Day 2024, Frank Hugelmeyer, President and CEO of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), released the following statement: "Recreational boat, marine engine and accessory manufacturers are united in our mission to ensure the growth and success of our nation's $230 billion recreational boating economy.

The International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) announced that the IBEX Education Conference call for proposals has opened. The Conference will offer world-class training, workshops, and technical seminars October 7-9, 2025, in the Tampa Convention Center. The Conference serves a marine industry audience with content related to technical issues, industry management and leadership, and exhibitor or association focused training. Presentation proposals should focus on identifying emerging trends, innovations, and topics in the marine industry today.

The National Women's Sailing Association (NWSA) and Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) have opened nominations for the 2025 BoatUS/NWSA Leadership in Women's Sailing Award. Past recipients have included sailing instructors, writers, sailboat racers and cruisers, marine industry professionals and boating club leaders from a wide variety of professions.
