A fisher has had to forfeit their boat, motor and trailer and copped a $4,500 fine after being caught with a haul of illegal mud crabs.
Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol Officers conducting an early morning patrol of the Coomera River intercepted a vessel with two people on board.
They had 60 crabs in their possession, 29 were female mud crabs and a further 11 crabs were undersized.
