Fishing Classes & Activities

GROUP LESSONS
3hr duration
All ages 
Kids, adults and families will have so much fun. After learning about the different creatures and fish they could come across, everyone heads to the beach to pump yabbies and help to drag the bait net.

You never know what will be caught in the net it varies with each location as well as tide.

You'll learn to tie a fishing knot, bait hooks, cast a rod and pick up plenty of tips to help with your next fishing adventure.

Group lessons are kept to 1 instructor per 6 students.

All bait, tackle and fishing gear is provided.

If you would prefer to learn on your fishing gear, please bring it along. The instructor will advise you how and when to use it.

Qld Kids Fishing Classic

Get your rods ready! The Qld Kids Fishing Classic is on for the SEPTEMBER holidays.
Plenty of prizes plus a kayak to be won

Mate against mate, suburb against suburb, or just fish for fun with saltwater, freshwater and pest species all included.
Fish throughout Queensland!

This fishing competition is open to young people aged 3-7yrs, 8-12yrs and 13-17yrs that live in Queensland.
Fish land-based, kayak or tinnie. Landbased and inshore fishing.

The Qld Kids Fishing Classic is a photo only competition where entrants will upload photos of their catches.

THIS IS AN ONLINE COMP ONLY, run through the Track My Fish Tournaments app.
There will be NO in person event.

Winner will be determined by the 2 longest fish in each species

Bream
Whiting
Flathead
Barred Javelin
Snapper
Barramundi
Freshwater Catfish/Eel-tailed Catfish
Silver Perch
Carp
Tilapia
Golden Perch (Yellowbelly)
Jewfish/Mulloway

Most Species caught

The comp is all about having fun and getting outside and enjoying our outdoors!

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here.

Please help me to make this the largest and best kids only fishing competition in Queensland.
