Too often, DC-powered electric fishing reels are connected to a sketchy and dangerous power source such as a spare 12V car battery or, worse, an AC outlet.
The simple solution to keep people safe and the vessel's electrical system up and running is to install 30A 28V DC Electric Fishing Reel Devices from Hubbell Marine. Designed and manufactured specifically for this application, they're UL-listed and CSA-certified.
A standard configuration of a Hubbell electric reel system includes a 30A corrosion-resistant plug, female connector body and locking receptacle. Electric Fishing Reel Devices are applicable for use with all 12V, 24V and 32V fishing reels. Rated at 28V DC, their unique configuration ensures they can't accidentally be plugged into an AC-rated power supply.
Like all Hubbell Marine electrical products, Electric Fishing Reel Devices use nickel-plated contacts for extreme corrosion resistance. Integral rear seals on plugs and connectors protect internal components from dust and debris. High-visibility yellow or white nylon casings are impact-resistant and UV-stabilized to ensure years of reliable performance.
For exposed installation locations, a Hubbell outlet box and weatherproof spring-loaded lift cover safeguard against water ingress. Both are available in high-visibility yellow, white or gray.
