WIN Micky Beckett's Paris 2024 ILCA 7 Boat & Sail!

Win Mickey Beckett's Olympic Boat & Sail © Andrew Simpson Foundation

Team GB Olympic Sailor Micky Beckett is donating his very own Paris 2024 Olympic boat to the Andrew Simpson Foundation (ASF). Now you could be in with a chance of winning both Micky's ILCA 7 sail and boat so you too can experience what it's like to be an Olympic Sailor!

All you need to do is enter the ASF Raffle here. For just £10 per ticket, an Olympic standard sail and boat could be yours! With 100% of the proceeds going to the Andrew Simpson Foundation, your contribution will help create more opportunities for young people to get out on the water.

Announcing the raffle, Micky Beckett said:

"I've just finished my first Olympics, I'm not coming home with the result I wanted, but seeing the huge display of passion and skill has given me memories to last a lifetime. I'm incredibly grateful for the experience and to so many people that came to support me.

"I never met Andrew Simpson, he always looked calm and humble despite being an incredible sailor. He was the kind of person I saw on TV who made me want to sail more; to be more. He did an incredible job of connecting the grassroots of the sport to the very top level by being so passionate about sailing. In the spirit of Bart I'm giving someone the chance to win my boat from the Olympics - with the exact same gear I was using - and so bring a little bit of that Olympic magic back to the UK. On the way we will raise money for the Foundation, so they can continue their incredible work getting people on the water who otherwise wouldn't have the chance.

"Even if you've never sailed before, especially if you've never sailed before, this raffle is for you. All you have to do is buy a ticket, then with some luck I will be delivering this boat to you in just over a month's time! You could learn to sail in a fantastic boat for beginners, race it at the highest level or donate it to your nearest Sailing Club, it's an incredible opportunity that won't come round again - what's to lose?"

The raffle will be held online, and you can buy as many tickets as you wish to be in with the chance of winning two prizes. Prize details as followed:

Prize 1: The ILCA boat sailed by Micky at the Olympics, set up exactly as he used it with all the same control lines.

Not only is this the best set up ILCA you will ever find, but this is also the only chance to own one of Team GB's boats from the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The winner of the boat will receive the following:

  • Hull, spars, foils, tiller and extension, blank sail
  • Control lines from Southeast Sailboats
  • A complete set of covers and trolley
  • Free delivery of the boat to your sailing club or home by Micky
  • Value of the boat and sail £8700

Prize 2: ILCA 7 sail used by Micky at the 2024 Olympics. Branded with the Olympic livery and British flag

The boat was built and kindly donated by Ovington Boats. Further support to run this raffle has been provided by Tideway Wealth and Retirement.

To enter, you must be over 16 years old and a UK resident. Visit this page to purchase your raffle ticket today! The draw will close at 23:59 on 30th September and the winners will be contacted by the 2nd October.
