by Vanora ENGADINWIND 2024 25 Aug 08:20 UTC 20-25 August 2024

Another intense day is on program on Lake Silvaplana (SUI) for the fifth day of racing at the iQFOiL International Games & U23 World Championships.

Kristýna PINOSOVÁ - CZE 289 takes the win in today's marathon in the women's division! With the marathon counting as two results, she jumps up to 4th position in the overall ranking. Norway's Maya GYSLER and Tuva OPPEDAL place 2nd and 3rd, with Lola SORIN from France close behind.

There are two more course races to go before the decision who makes it into the top 10 and advances to the medal races on the next day.

Manolo Modena from Italy leads the entire marathon of the men's division securing him the win, a crucial result to likely keep him in the top 10 and advance to the next day's medal races. His training partner, Andy Brown (GBR), finishes strong in 2nd place, with Fin Hawkins (GBR) taking 3rd.

It is all set for the next intense battles on lake Silvaplana!
