Vanora ENGADINWIND 2024 at Lake Silvaplana, Switzerland Day 4

by Vanora ENGADINWIND 2024 24 Aug 08:26 UTC 20-25 August 2024

Another spectacular day unfolds on Lake Silvaplana for the fourth day of racing at the iQFOiL International Games & U23 World Championships. The wind picks up early, setting the stage for an action-packed day on the water.

The women complete 5 intense course races on day 4, with Tamar Steinberg (ISR) dominating with 3 wins and 2 second-place finishes. Maya Gysler (NOR) holds a strong second place, while Tuva Oppedal (NOR) climbs into the top 3 after a solid day of racing.

In the men's division, now split into Gold and Silver fleets, Leonardo Tomasini (ITA) takes the lead with sharp tactics in the shifting winds on Lake Silvaplana. The competition is fierce, with just one point separating him from Andy Brown (GBR) in 2nd and Max Castelein (NED) in 3rd.

The plan for day 5 is a marathon race, and it is excited to see who secures a spot in the top 10 and advances to the medal series.
