Kingston to host Sail Canada 2024 Youth and ILCA 6 & 7 Senior Championships

Over 400 sailors will be in action next week, August 6-9, in Kingston, during the Sail Canada 2024 Youth and ILCA 6 & 7 Senior Championships.

Sail Canada 2024 Youth and ILCA 6 & 7 Senior Championships will be hosted by CORK Kingston, along with CORK International/CORK Olympic Classes Regatta and the 29er North Americans Championships.

Sailors from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, as well as from Europe, Caribbean countries and the U.S.A., who will compete in the 29er, Club 420, ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 classes.

Races for Sail Canada 2024 Youth and ILCA 6 & 7 Senior Championships will be held according to the following schedule:

  • Tuesday, August 6: races are scheduled to start at 12pm
  • Wednesday, August 7: races are scheduled to start at 11 am
  • Thursday, August 8: races are scheduled to start at 11 am
  • Friday, August 9: races are scheduled to start at 11 am
Sail Canada 2024 Youth and ILCA 6 & 7 Senior Championships event is part of a series of seven Sail Canada National and Regional Championships to be held this summer. These competitions provide an opportunity for sailors to train and compete with high-level sailors in their region, in addition to serving as talent identification opportunities for regional and provincial sailing teams, as development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, as well as training and development opportunities for officials and volunteers.
